Job Title: Business Development Executive - SME Finance

Location: Hackney, London

Application Deadline: 30 November 2025

Job Type: Full time, permanent

Salary: £38,000 base + quarterly performance-linked bonus (uncapped).

OTE: £50,000 – £70,000+ (Year 1), with further upside as the business grows.

The Opportunity

Adelpha Capital is a specialist SME lender providing flexible finance to UK businesses. We are entering an exciting growth phase and are looking for a commercially minded and relationship driven Business Development Executive to help us scale.

You will be at the centre of our origination strategy, on the phone daily, meeting brokers face-to-face and driving loan volume through new and existing relationships. Unlike many lender roles, this is a genuinely active sales position; ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, developing opportunities and seeing their impact directly in results. This is a hands-on, high activity role where success is measured by funded loans and relationships built.

What You Will Do

  • Source and onboard new brokers and introducers across England and Wales, constantly expanding our reach.

  • Re-energise existing relationships to increase funded volumes and re-activate dormant accounts.

  • Be highly active; on the phone daily, meeting introducers face-to-face and representing Adelpha Capital at key industry events.

  • Promote Adelpha Capital’s lending products confidently and persuasively, tailoring solutions to introducer needs.

  • Manage live applications to ensure smooth communication between introducers, borrowers, and our credit team.

  • Provide market insight back to management to shape product, pricing, and credit appetite.

  • Play an active role in refining how we engage with introducers and grow market share.

What We Are Looking For

  • You must have proven B2B sales or business development experience. Ideally in a consultative, relationship-driven environment.

  • Experience in financial services or SME lending is helpful but not essential; full product training will be provided. What matters most is energy, commercial instinct, and the drive to build relationships and close opportunities.

  • Strong communicator who builds rapport easily and enjoys being on the phone.

  • Organised, proactive, comfortable managing multiple priorities and commercially driven.

  • Motivated by results and contribution, with the energy to build and convert a steady pipeline.

  • Keen to take ownership and grow into a senior role as the business scales.

Why Join Adelpha?

  • Be part of something growing. You will be the first hire dedicated to introducer development; a chance to shape how we build relationships and drive origination as the business scales.

  • Work directly with decision-makers. You will report to the MD and collaborate across credit and operations, gaining visibility into every part of the lending process.

  • No layers of bureaucracy. Your ideas and activity directly drive results.

  • Performance recognised, not just rewarded. We offer a quarterly, performance-linked bonus with no cap, recognising consistent origination and relationship growth rather than one-off wins.

  • Real progression. As we grow, you will have the opportunity to move into a senior business development or leadership role, shaping the future of Adelpha’s commercial strategy.

  • A culture that values initiative and integrity. We back people who are proactive, honest, and committed to long-term success; both theirs and ours.
